SALEM - Mrs. Tammy Jean (O'Donnell) Simard 57, of Salem, beloved companion of Michael J. McGarry, died unexpectedly Monday, September 9, 2019 following a long illness. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Robert O'Donnell and Shirley May (Castle) Underwood. She was raised and educated in Salem and Peabody. A devoted mother, Tammy's outgoing nature and enthusiastic spirit endeared her to many. She was kind, considerate and had an innate ability to make others laugh. She was often the life of the party, the first to hit the dance floor and the last to leave, you always knew if you were with Tammy, you were in for a good time and plenty of laughs. She enjoyed karaoke, was an expert Bingo player and was a motorcycling aficionado and loved to take long rides with her devoted companion and best friend. She was a loving mother, nanny, companion, sister and friend who will be deeply missed. Tammy is survived by her daughters, Tanya O'Donnell of Salem, Shari Simard and her fiancé Adam Rowe of Salem, her grandchildren, Skyla, Kyle, Harlee and Raelyn, her long time devoted companion, Michael J. McGarry of Nashua, N.H., her sisters, Kim Eno of Peabody, Sherri O'Donnell of Salem, Tracey O'Donnell of Salem and Jada Cross and her husband Ty of Fl, her brothers, Robert O'Donnell and his wife Cynthia of Georgia and William O'Donnell and his wife Wanda of Amesbury, her sister-in-law and friend Wanda Towne and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was the sister of the late Patrick O'Donnell.
